I am oblidg'd for
the Hon:r of yours w:ch was deliver'd me at M:r
Jeffreys, I carryed Co:l Emmit thither to begg—
pardon; w:ch you'l find by the Inclosed he has
obtaind' in ample form, I dare be answerable
for him in future he shall be very carefull
of any thing y:u committ to his charge for
the Lady, or otherwise I'le join w:th you
to degrade him of y:e honour y:u have conferd' upon him

Herewith is a Letter from ye Comiss:rs of the
customes relateing to a Small Brigantine
p2 Lost at Curassoa in w:ch my Broth:r & Selfe
were unfortunately concernd', please to interpose
your freindship & authority, that y:t affair may
be issued without trouble, & we shall esteem it
a very great obligation

The young Lady at M:rs Hudsons is very
deserving, I was an admirer of her, as of
the rest of y:e fair Sex, but made no other
pretences, She is marryed Lately to one M:r
Burdett a Merch:t of this city; they all
present y,u their service, as doth
